Guild Wars 2 Item Upgrade

Item upgrade, commonly called "upping," improves an Best item upgrade's stats. Each upgrade increment results in an increase in linearity of a given stat.

Players can recycle six items at one time to get a gauge of the upgraded component of each item. The cost of recycling an item scales with its rarity and level.

Upgrade components

In Guild Wars 2, an upgrade of an item can be a method to boost the stats of your weapons and armor. This can be accomplished by many different methods such as using upgrade components and upgrading an item's mark levels or rarity. Many items can also be reforged in order to increase their value.

Upgradeable items are available all over the game, both within the world and as rewards for missions. They can also be made by players. Upgrade components are the most common way to upgrade equipment. These are the items that can be inserted into equipment. The majority of equipment comes with slots for upgrading, and many require a certain amount of upgrade. Certain upgrade components provide specific bonuses while others provide an overall bonus.

There are many types of upgrade components in the game, including universal upgrades, inscriptions and jewels. Universal upgrades, like gemstones and enchantments can be placed in any equipment type and offer less bonuses than those that are equipment type specific. Glyphs are only available on gathering tools. They offer a range of bonuses, from increasing the speed of an item's gathering to providing additional crafting materials.

Select the item in your inventory, and then open the Upgrade window. This will display an overview on the right side of the screen that shows what the expected stats are after the upgrade, along with any required components or materials. The Upgrade button at the bottom will read blocked if you don't have enough of either.

The upper-right corner displays the amount of upgrade components required to create the specific item upgrader. The cost of upgrading increases with the level and rarity of the item. However, you can reduce the cost of upgrades by purchasing them from a merchant or trading them with other players.

Most weapons can be improved by a prefix like a rune or an insignia. Other weapons can be improved with an suffix. These upgrades can be used to add an adjective to the name of the item for example "Radiant" or "Minor Vigor".

Glyphs

Glyphs are a way to communicate visual information. They animate in order to draw the attention of the viewer and stimulate curiosity. The animation of glyphs mimics the body language and makes them more effective in communicating an inter-linguistic message. Glyphs can also increase the recall of messages by creating a familiarity in the brain.

Each glyph can increase the value of a stat by specific amount. This is displayed on the item when you open it in the Glyph Storage. This is the maximum value that a glyph can enhance a stat by but not the amount it actually improves the stat by. The actual value of the glyph is determined by the tier and quality of the product you are enchanting it to.

The majority of upgrade components installed into items cannot be removed or replaced without dismantling them except for legendary upgrades and equipment. If you have a glyph or rune you do not want to use, but it hasn't been incorporated to the gear yet, you can move the item to a different piece by using the Upgrade Glyphs menu on the Glyphs Panel. This will create a Glyph Set that includes the chosen glyph.

If you want to remove the glyph from an item, you will need to salvage it with an Black Lion Salvage Kit or Ascended Salvage Tool. The item where the glyph is placed will be destroyed, however the upgraded item can be retrieved by removing the glyph fragments.

When you remove an item after adding a glyph the shards from the glyph will disappear. You can also apply the glyph on your equipment to provide an additional benefit. Reroll tokens

Every reroll grants the player an affix randomly chosen and usually better than what they had prior to. Reroll tokens can be used to boost weapon stats for more damage or bonuses.

Items that have been rerolled may not appear in the item upgrade (this guy) menu, however, they can still receive upgrades. These rerolled items are able to be recycled by pressing the "upgrade" button which alters the layout of the item window and allows up to six items to be chosen to recycle. Recycling an item adds a small amount of points to its level gauge. The amount is by the rarity of the item and its level. Thus, items with higher levels are more valuable to recycle than items with lower levels.

In addition to tokens for rerolls players can also make use of Star Remnants and Reroll Tokens to roll the weapon traits of an upgraded unit. Rerolls will determine the % chance of a particular weapon trait. If it is higher, the weapon will be upgraded, and if it is lower, the weapon remains unchanged. Weapons can be repeatedly rolled up to three times.

A reroll is a good option to upgrade an item, but users should be aware that it could reduce the overall ilvl the weapon due to the number of rerolls used to increase it to its final ilvl. Some players have complained that the reroll system is too expensive. It's more fair to allow players to pay for it using money or food items, which allows them to make changes to their builds without having to invest too much time. The developers aren't planning to offer paid rerolls in this stage of the game's development. Instead, they're planning to add a race change potion in the near future.

Leveling

There are a variety of ways to increase the level of an upgrade to an item. The first is to increase the amount of upgrade which boosts the upgrade value of any stat. The second option is to increase the effect of the upgrade, which boosts damage or healing for an individual stat. Additionally you have the option to upgrade the base item to an upgrade type. After this, the new item upgrading will keep its iLevel however it will be upgraded with the effects of the upgraded type of item.
